  • As snow squall passes; rail sings, and wheel slip devices work overtime, as train U85 works hard up the grade between Elmore and Clarks Gap on the old Virginian, high above Covel, WV
  • As the snow continues to fall, the pushers of U85 shove hard, on the rear, the rail is singing even more with these locomotives as they work hard to try to keep good footing and hold the rail.
  • In the evening train 767 heads west through Bluestone on the old N&W. The Dam to the left is some of what remains of the Bluestone Powerplant that was stationed around the corner to the right, that was owned by N&W when the line was electrified.
  • On Sunday we found ourselves along the James River Sub of the old C&O here we see an eastbound coal drag at Glasgow, VA.
